Max Stool and his family immigrated to the US from Russia in 1904. Here, he went on to study to become a licensed Pharmacist in Chicago. While traveling on the railroad he stopped in Del Rio and stayed for half a century! Max Stool along with his wife Anna, were reponsible for building several downtown landmarks like The Gurantee.
