Del Rio Chamber of Commerce $500 Scholarship Application

There are three eligibility categories:

• 2024 Val Verde County graduates
• Trade or technical school students
• Single parents currently accepted or enrolled in a local college or university

Applicants must also:

• Be a resident of Val Verde County
• Be in good standing with the school district
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA. CTE career path (Trades & Industry field) must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Attend or be accepted into in Junior College, University, or Trade School
• STUDENTS RELATED TO MEMBERS OF THE SELECTION COMMITTEE ARE NOT ELIGIBLE

Your application packet must include:

• Online or hard copy application
• Short essay
• High school transcript
• Acceptance letter (You can still apply if you have not received an acceptance letter yet, but the money will be held until the committee receives a copy of an official acceptance letter.)
• Minimum of TWO letters of reference from professors, counselors, or members of the community.  Letters from family will not be accepted.
